We provide a melt shop proven current conducting arm design. The design provides efficient cooling as well as reduced electrical loss. The utilization of the bimetallic sections (steel + copper) combines the high strength of steel with the current carrying ability of copper. Lighter aluminum current conducting arms are also available in rigid box section designs and will lead to less stress for the mechanical system.
